The facilities of Sébastien Loeb’s rallycross team went up in smoke this Friday.
This is a huge blow for Sébastien Loeb and his collaborators. Engaged in rallycross in the world championship which this week stops at Lydden Hill, in Kent, the Alsatian driver saw the installations of his team and his electric Lancia Delta go up in smoke this Friday morning.
A huge blow for the @FIAWorldRX community as fire caught on in Special ONE Racing’s team area in Lydden Hill.
All gone, including the Lancia Delta evo RX1e cars. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔

The origin of the fire is not yet known. For the nine-time WRC world rally champion and his teammate Guerlain Chicherit, this disaster could mean the end of the season, pure and simple. Difficult indeed to start again this year when everything is to be rebuilt.
