This Friday, Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) set the fastest time in the second free practice session of the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
After George Russell, here is Charles Leclerc. This Friday, the Monegasque, driving his Ferrari, set the fastest time in the second free practice session of the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Earlier in the same day on Friday, it was therefore the Briton from the Mercedes team who had done the same, during the first free practice session heavily disrupted by the rain, to open this new race weekend. For his part, this time on a dry track but also in the sun, Leclerc was the fastest and outstripped, by very little and more precisely by only 15 thousandths of a second, the McLaren of Lando Norris, on the Hungaroring circuit.

The two French in the Top 5
While the French Pierre Gasly signs, at the wheel of his Alpine, a very good third best time of this same session. As for the Top 5 of the day, it was completed by the AlphaTauri of Yuki Tsunoda, fourth. As for the second Alpine, that of the second Frenchman Esteban Ocon, it finished in fifth place. This session was able to take place without any incident disturbing it. A session during which two major teams were further behind, compared to usual. These are Red Bull Racing and Mercedes. Indeed, the first Red Bull, that of the Dutchman Max Verstappen, is only eleventh. As for the first Mercedes, it is only in sixteenth position. A place occupied by the Briton Lewis Hamilton.
