According to the sports daily, Simon (26) would have used a bank card belonging to Braisaz-Bouchet (who turns 27 on Tuesday) for purchases on the internet – which would be estimated between 1,000 and 2,000 euros – using his own computer and his own e-mail address, during a roller-skiing competition in Norway last August. It was then a few days before Braisez-Bouchet publicly announced that she would not be playing the 2022-23 season because she was pregnant. Her daughter Côme was born last February. A member of the Bleues staff also filed a complaint against Julia Simon, for an usurped sum of a few tens of euros.
Simon disputes the facts
Still according to the sports daily, Braisaz-Bouchet wanted to resolve the problem internally with Simon and the French Ski Federation, but finally filed a complaint during the winter because things were not progressing. According to the lawyer for the winning biathlete from around the world, “Julia Simon’s position is clear: she contests the facts (…) The version of the defense led to a stay of proceedings by the federation. »
An investigation is still underway, but in the meantime, Julia Simon has not resumed training with the France team, officially for personal reasons. However, she still has the right to join the Blues if she wishes. As for Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, five months after the birth of her daughter, she is trying to return to her best level to take part in the next season.
