Franck Haise, the coach of Lens, remained evasive about his future in Artois.
In a sold-out Bollaert-Delelis stadium for the 26th time in a row, Lens won against Ajaccio (3-0) on Saturday evening, as part of the 37th and penultimate day of Ligue 1. A new success which allows the blood and gold club to validate its second place in the French championship standings, synonymous with direct qualification for the next Champions League campaign.

Present at a press conference after the game, Franck Haise, the general manager of Lens, was asked about his future in Artois, in remarks reported by the specialized website Lensois.com : « We plan to meet with management next week. We will think quietly. I will give myself a few days to taste this good moment and see the future. What we have done, no one can take it”.
And to continue on the same theme, while remaining particularly evasive: “ I didn’t say it would stop, I’m just saying that there may be requests and there are already. We have to measure things, think about what we have done, ask ourselves if we can continue, if we can do better, I don’t know. I am in a club where I am very happy but that does not prevent thinking.
Haise promises ‘a quick decision’
“I know what I have, I often talk about line-ups and it’s rare to be lined up with so many people at a club. I know it and I measure it, it’s one of the first things in my overall thinking. I’m just going to take a little thought. We will meet with the management and there will be a quick decision, ” chained the French technician, linked to the RCL until June 2027.
While Lens will therefore evolve in C1 next season, Franck Haise confided that he would like to have guarantees on the means from which he will benefit: “Obviously, this is an important element. I obviously want, and the leaders too, to have a very competitive team. It goes through certain actions. That’s a big part of the debate.” A debate that will keep an entire people of Lens in suspense.
