The France team started the U20 World Cup in Argentina with a defeat against South Korea (1-2) on Monday.
Admittedly deprived of many players (not authorized by their respective club), the France under-20 team lost its first match of the U20 World Cup in Argentina, Monday evening in Mendoza, against South Korea.
Losc striker Alan Virginius reduced the gap from the penalty spot in the second half (70th), after South Korean goals from Lee Seung-won (22nd) and Lee Young-jun (64th) ahead of Thimothée Lo-Tutala, but the Bleuets were unable to snatch the point of the draw despite a total of 23 strikes (6 on target).
Coach Landry Chauvin believed before the match that South Korea were the most dangerous team in the group. His team will therefore continue against the two weakest, Gambia (Thursday) then Honduras (Sunday). The first two of each group as well as the 4 best 3rd will compete in the 8th.
