The Argentine selection will challenge Australia in a friendly match in Beijing on June 15, and football fans in China are on fire for the arrival of Lionel Messi.

A time close to a termination of contract at PSG (after his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia) but finally reinstated for the end of the season, Lionel Messi will play his very last match with the Rouge et Bleu on June 3 against Clermont, at the Parc des Princes. He is not expected to extend his contract which ends on June 30. The Argentine genius will have a handful of days off before returning to his selection for two friendly matches.

The organization of the friendly match between theArgentine and Australia in Beijing on June 15, has been confirmed in recent hours by the Chinese federation. And rumors of Messi’s arrival had already inflamed millions of football fans in China. They are ready to find a ticket to see the Ballon d’Or record holder at the Stade des Ouvriers in the capital (65,094 seats).

Indonesia after China

Local media report that Messi (if called up by Lionel Scaloni and not exempted for this international window) will be making his 7th visit to the Middle Kingdom, counting his matches with Barca and Argentina. But above all he won the Olympic gold medal in Beijing in 2008, at the National Stadium (the famous “Bird’s Nest), Angel Di Maria having scored the crowning goal against Nigeria.

The 2018 world champions will then continue their Asian journey in Indonesia, with a friendly match against the local team, on June 19 in Jakarta. The Indonesians, even more crazy about football than the Chinese, will catch fire for the arrival of the Argentines, even if the presence of Messi, there too, is not certain. The 35-year-old left-hander may very well be sent on post-match vacation to China.
