Very bad news for the France Espoirs team which is about to play the Euro from June 21 to July 8. Benoît Badiashile injured his hamstrings and has to forfeit.
Left to try his luck this winter at Chelsea, Benoît Badiashile will definitely not have been at the party this season. The former AS Monaco defender has only taken part in eleven games with the Blues in full decline and who are currently in a sad twelfth place in the Premier League standings. To clear his mind, the French hoped to participate in the Euro Espoirs scheduled for this summer on the side of Romania and Georgia, but an injury has just shattered his dream.
As confirmed The Team this Monday, the twenty-two-year-old injured his hamstrings during weekend training. A serious muscle glitch that will keep him away from football for the next three months. This terrible news therefore means that Benoît Badiashile is already forfeited for the Euro Espoirs which will begin on June 21. The sports site specifies that no surgery is however planned for the Londoner.
Three warm-up matches
Without the former ASM, Les Bleuets will prepare for their part with two matches against Saudi Arabia (June 5), Costa Rica (June 8) and Venezuela (June 11), during the Toulon Tournament . Then it will be time to compete in the Euro with a first match scheduled for June 22 against Italy, before meeting Norway (25) and Switzerland (28).
