Guaranteed to be champion of England since the day before, Manchester City celebrated their title in front of their audience at the Etihad Stadium with a victory against Chelsea (1-0) on Sunday afternoon.
Qualified for the Champions League final after a collective demonstration against Real Madrid (4-0), Wednesday, Manchester City was crowned champion of England on Saturday with the defeat of Arsenal, his dolphin, in Notthingham (1-0). Pep Guardiola’s men were able to celebrate this 3rd consecutive coronation (the 5th in 6 years) with their audience at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Fans swarmed onto the pitch within seconds of the whistle of a 1-0 win over Chelsea. Julian Alvarez opened the scoring at the start of the match (12th) and was denied a goal from the break in the second half on a serve from Riyad Mahrez (71st).
“Please leave the lawn immediately” 🗣
Manchester City supporters obviously don’t have the head to follow the instructions and celebrate the title by invading the field 😅🎉#MCICHE | #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/YuPKOe7GE2

KDB and Haaland end the game
Ederson, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Rodri, Ilkay Gündogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland were all on the bench! The Belgian leader and the Norwegian striker did not manage to increase the score at the end of the match. The first remains at 16 assists, the second is still at 36 achievements before the last two league matches against Brighton and Brentford.
Frank Lampard’s Blues missed a slew of opportunities, most notably through Raheem Sterling past an imperious German keeper Stefan Ortega. The London club remains glued to a shameful 12th place. Chelsea, however, continues with a clash against Manchester United next Thursday.
