Portuguese justice is continuing its investigations as part of a large-scale investigation into suspicions of fraud linked to transfers, including that of former PSG, Gonçalo Guedes.
The Portuguese tax administration and justice have decided to move up a gear. As part of the “Offside” operation, a vast action was launched with a wave of searches in more than 80 rentals in Portugal. Among the places visited by the investigators, the home of former Paris Saint-Germain player Gonçalo Guedes, but also the offices of FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting.
The information is relayed on Wednesday by AS which gives some details about the Portuguese international whose home was searched. His transfer from Benfica to PSG, then that of PSG to FC Valence (which allowed Benfica to receive 1.4 million euros), would be of particular interest to the police. Two other files concerning Vlachodimos and Chiquinho, currently Benfica players, are also targeted by the investigation. In addition to these, seven other Lisbon transfers question the investigators.
