Named player of the month for April, Lois Openda achieved a rare performance.
The great season of RC Lens earned the Sang et Or a first reward. Thanks to the draw conceded by Monaco in Lille, the Lensois are indeed already guaranteed to finish on the podium in Ligue 1.
Lois Openda was entitled to a new individual award on Monday. The young Belgian striker was indeed elected Player of the month for April in Ligue 1, he had already been rewarded in March.
This double is rare. To find a player elected Player of the Month for two consecutive months, you have to go back to 2016 and Edinson Cavani.
