For former Gunners legend Patrick Vieira, Arsenal lacked “personality” in their fight with Manchester City for the Premiership title.
This time, there is no longer any doubt: Manchester City should, barring a huge surprise, keep their crown in England. Indeed, the Citizens are five points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League (one game less) after their 0-3 win at Everton on Sunday. Gunners who lost heavily at home to Brighton (0-3), losing all their chances of winning the league title.
A defeat that leaves a bitter taste to Patrick Vieira. “It was a must-play game for Arsenal and today (Sunday) they didn’t play the one we expected. There was a lack of energy and I feel like City’s result (0-3 win over Everton earlier) cut off their legs”so he lamented the former Gunner after the meeting on Sky Sports.
“They will have to take a step back and reflect”

“Building a team with more personality”
Before pointing out the shortcomings of Mikel Arteta’s troupe: “(Martin) Odegaard has been the technical leader on the pitch, but what they lack is that physical presence, that leadership so people can push behind players when they’re not level. They will have to build a team with more personality, more competitiveness (…) to be even closer to City next season. The message got through.
