Manchester City followed up with a victory against Everton (0-3) thanks to a superb double from Ilkay Gündogan as well as a 52nd goal from Erling Haaland.
It was not a game at Everton, the current 17th in the Premier League table, that was going to put the brakes on Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s men won 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon to take a 4-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the league. The Gunners challenge Brighton (5:30 p.m.) but will then have one more game.
While John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish started on the bench (3 days from finding Real Madrid in the semi-final second leg of the Champions League), it was Ilkay Gündogan who carried the Cityzens by offering a superb double. The German midfielder opened the scoring with a magnificent back-to-goal recovery (37th) and scored the 3rd from a free kick (51st).

Haaland number 1
In the meantime, it’s inevitable Erling Haaland which improved his stats. With a header from a center by “Gündo”, PL’s top scorer scored his 36th goal in the league, his 52nd in all competitions. With his 8 assists, the Norwegian is now involved in 60 goals this season. He has 5 matches left (and maybe the C1 final) to overtake Kylian Mbappé, who finished with 65 goals and assists last season!
Mbappé is precisely the 2nd most decisive player in Europe this season, with 38 goals and 9 assists with PSG. Then follow Vinicius with 23 and 20, Mohamed Salah with 30 and 11 and Marcus Rashford with 29 and 11. Very nice people among cracks having been decisive on 40 goals or more.
