Thomas Tuchel joined Bayern Munich on Friday. The salary of the new Bavarian coach has been disclosed. And it is much more important than the one he had when he was at PSG.
Thomas Tuchel is on the move. Just over three years after being fired from his post as PSG coach, and after a stint on the Chelsea bench, the German tactician has just officially signed with Bayern Munich. A contract that runs until June 2025 and some details of which have already leaked. This is for example the case of the annual salary that Tuchel will receive. According to Bild, he should be remunerated between ten and twelve million euros per year.
That’s roughly what he got when he was coach of the Blues, but much more than his Parisian salary. At Paris Saint-Germain, the annual emoluments of the forty-nine-year-old man were estimated at 7.5 million euros per year. Still on the side of the Parisian club, the current coach Christophe Galtier would touch (according to L’Crew), a net salary of ten million euros a year.
Nagelsmann still paid by Bayern
Just replaced by Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, Julian Nagelsmann was paid eight to nine million euros per year (according to Bild). The Munich club will also continue to pay him this sum since, as indicated Sky Germany, the former Munich coach was released and not fired. He will thus be paid by his former club until he has found a new employer.
