This Wednesday evening, Grenoble and Cergy-Pontoise validated their ticket for the semi-finals of the Magnus League play-offs, against Mulhouse and Gap, on the same score (5-4 ap).
Grenoble has come a long way. Wednesday, in match 5, the club won against Mulhouse (5-4), after extra time. However, the visitors led 4-2 in the second period, after three goals from Makarov, author of a brace, as well as Orysiuk. But it was without counting on Dylan Fabre then Brent Aubin, who brought the two teams tied. In extra time, the winning goal was scored by Kyle Hardy. His fifth achievement in these play-offs. Grenoble avoids a game 6, or even then a seventh, and joins the semi-finals.
Cergy-Pontoise did not make the task easy
Cergy-Pontoise got scared. The club ended up having the last word, in extra time, following a final goal scored by Robert Baillargeon (5-4). Therefore, the Jokers join the semi-finals of these play-offs. The hosts certainly thought they had done the hard part when they led 4-2 at the start of the third period. It was without counting on the reaction capacity of the Raptors, who were able to count on Golicic and Correia who brought the two teams tied. But then Gap couldn’t do anything.
