A surreal scene occurred during Gambardella’s encounter between FC Nantes and AS Monaco.
The defeat has taken a back seat for FC Nantes, eliminated on Sunday from the Gambardella Cup by AS Monaco (0-1). During this quarter-final meeting, a young resident of the Canaries training center was attacked by a man, who threatened him with a knife.
The young Nantes player did not participate in the match, precise West-France, which reports that a scuffle started in the stands as spectators tried to intervene. The regional daily indicates that the overflows concerned about twenty people, which complicated the mission of the stewards to restore calm in the bays of the Marcel-Saupin stadium, the enclosure where the Yellow and Green reserve usually evolves. It was at halftime of the match that these events took place.

The Nantes player was taken to the locker room to be placed in safety, and the meeting was able to resume with the arrival on site of police reinforcements, called in emergency. The man with the knife was not arrested by the police, and the reason for this attack still remains a mystery. Ouest-France indicates that the young Canaris player does not wish to file a complaint for the moment, despite this violent scene in the middle of a meeting.
