PSG midfielder Vitinha could have opened the scoring against Bayern on Wednesday night.
Led in their double confrontation against Bayern, after the 1-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes, PSG could have caught up in the first period of the knockout round return of the Champions League on an error by Yann Sommer (38th) .
The Swiss goalkeeper pushed his ball too far on Achraf Hakimi’s pressing and Vitinha stole the ball from him. The young Portuguese midfielder struck quickly from the left but Matthijs de Ligt sprang to clear the ball on his line.

A few moments earlier, it was Bayern who had had an opportunity, Jamal Musiala putting Gianluigi Donnarumma to work (32nd).
