This Tuesday morning, the organizers of the 6 Nations Tournament unveiled the calendar for the 2024 edition. In a year, the XV of France will start against Ireland and finish against England.
From now on, the Blues of Fabien Galthié are fixed. While the competition is currently underway in 2023, the organizers of the 6 Nations Tournament announced this Tuesday morning the calendar for the 2024 edition, which will take place in a year. In the meantime, the 2023 World Cup, which will take place in France next fall (from September 8 to October 28), will have been there.
However, after this big meeting, and in particular for the XV of France, the teammates of Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack will have a lot to do at the start. In effect, the Tricolores will start this new 6 Nations with a huge shock from the 1st day against Irelandthe team currently ranked first in the world in the IRB ranking, on Friday February 2, 2024 (at 9 p.m.).
A “Crunch” as a dessert
Subsequently, the players of Galthié will travel to Scotland on Saturday February 10 to challenge the XV du Chardon at Murrayfield (at 3:15 p.m.), before receiving Italy during the 3rd day, Sunday February 25 (at 4 p.m.). The Blues will then have a last trip to negotiate in Wales, on Sunday March 10 (at 4 p.m.), before ending on the other big shock for them in this Tournament. Indeed, on the 5th day, the Tricolores will host England on Saturday March 16 (at 9 p.m.), during a “Crunch” which already promises to be tasty.
As a result, the current title holders will launch and close this next edition. As a reminder, in view of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the XV of France will not play its home matches at the Stade de France. It remains to be seen which den will host the Blues…
