The Spanish defender of Chelsea suffered a big shock to the head this Saturday during Chelsea-Southampton.
The images are chilling. César Azpilicueta suffered a frightening injury this Saturday during the meeting between Chelsea and Southampton.
During an aerial duel in the penalty area, the Spanish defender was hit in the head by Sékou Mara, while the former Bordeaux player had attempted a return.

Azpilicueta immediately collapsed, and many players around the action called for help within seconds. The former defender of Olympique de Marseille was taken care of on the lawn. Healers cared for the player for more than 10 minutes as a worried and silent Stamford Bridge crowd watched.
Azpilicueta was evacuated on a stretcher, motionless, with a neck brace and an oxygen mask to help him breathe. He should be taken to the hospital very quickly. Sékou Mara received a yellow card for this involuntary but dangerous gesture. Out of respect for Azpilicueta, the English production did not broadcast any slow motion of this action.
