At the end of the contract with FC Barcelona next June, Sergio Busquets does not know if he will continue with the Blaugrana. A player could replace him.
After nearly fifteen years of presence in the first team of FC Barcelona, Sergio Busquets seems more than ever on the verge of turning the page. Now 34 years old, the Blaugrana midfielder is serving the last months of the contract which binds him to his club until June 2023. For the time being, no agreement has been reached between the two parties for a possible extension. If the latter is not to be totally excluded, the trend leans towards a departure. What open the door to an arrival.
According to Sports world, Barça could be interested in Ruben Neves, current member of Wolverhampton Wanderers. The media explains that some people within FC Barcelona would welcome the recruitment of the Portuguese midfielder represented by the famous agent Jorge Mendes. The latter would also have been seen on the Camp Nou side. A problem is however raised as Xavi is said to be unconvinced that Neves has the necessary characteristics to replace Busquets.
A good deal ?
In the meantime, the 25-year-old international could be a bargain as he will be out of contract with Wolves in a year. The latter could therefore be tempted to let him go for a small nest egg, even if it means selling him a little cheaper than they would like.
