Free to join the club of his choice after the termination of his contract with the Tigres de Monterrey, Florian Thauvin has finally decided to join Udinese, currently seventh in Serie A. Officially presented this Thursday, the former Marseillais has justified his choice.

I wanted to thank the club and the director for having done everything possible to bring me here, in one of the best championships in the world, rejoiced the international tricolor. I am very happy, the club is magnificent. I was impressed with the facilities, the stadium, the pitch. I chose Udinese because I received a lot of calls from the club. For a player, it is important to feel confident and to know that the club has a plan for him. I thank them for this trust and I want to make myself available immediately by working hard. »
“Physically, I’m fine”
And Thauvin to discuss his physical condition, he who played very little with the Tigers: “I did the preparation with the Tigers, but I played few matches in this first part of the championship. Physically I’m fine, but I need a few days of work and minutes to perform at my best. I know the club usually plays 3-5-2. I am a right winger, but several times in Marseille I played as a second striker, able to move freely on the pitch, behind the first striker. This is my ideal position. I arrive in a team which is having a good championship and which is seventh in the standings. I want to adapt quickly to my teammates in order to be available, to lend a hand and to win as many matches as possible. »
