OGC Nice have completed the arrival of Terem Moffi, who arrives from Lorient on a loan with a compulsory purchase option. The amount would be 30 million euros.
A Super Eagle lands at Les Aiglons! OGC Nice formalized the arrival of Terem Moffi on Tuesday, the closing day of the winter transfer window. This is a record transfer for the Riviera club, which was looking for a replacement for Andy Delort, who left for Nantes.
“We are delighted that Terem’s determination to sign for OGC Nice combined with ours have been able to lead to this conclusion. The support of our owner has also been invaluable”underlines President Jean-Pierre Rivère. “It is an investment commensurate with our ambitions. »
Moffi arrives as part of a loan with a mandatory purchase option, the amount of which would be 30 million euros according to Foot Mercato. OGC Nice hit hard, in particular to get ahead of Olympique de Marseille and certain English clubs in this case.

Having stayed just over two years in Lorient, Moffi scored 34 goals in 87 games with Les Merlus. He is the second top scorer in Ligue 1 this season, behind Kylian Mbappé, with 12 goals.
“Compared to the ideas that we want to put in place and the identity of the game that we want to establish, he is the ideal striker, rejoices Nice sports director Florent Ghisolfi. Terem is able to play with his back to goal, to go deep. He is a modern attacker, very fast, very powerful. He has experience, fights for the team, he is able to multiply races while maintaining his lucidity in the zone of truth. In L1, it is already a reference. »
