Left to rest against Pays de Cassel in the Coupe de France, Lionel Messi offered himself a short getaway to Switzerland, near Crans-Montana.
It’s a pretty rare picture. A footballer in the mountains, in a ski resort. And it was the destination chosen by Lionel Messi, who was seen near Crans-Montana, in Switzerland.
Obviously, this is anything but a secret trip. His wife Antonela Roccuzzo posted several photos where we can see the whole little family, with the seven-time Ballon d’Or, their children Thiago (10 years old), Mateo (7 years old) and Ciro (4 years old), as well as Daniela Semaan , the wife of Cesc Fabregas.
This short stay in Switzerland comes the day after PSG’s match against fans from the US Pays de Cassel, in the Coupe de France, where the capital club easily won with a quintuplet from Kylian Mbappé. Lionel Messi had been spared for this meeting, and the whole group of Christophe Galtier was at rest on Tuesday, as is traditionally the case the day after the match. For Messi, there was no recovery problem, and therefore no obstacle for him to go to Switzerland.

Did Messi ski?
The big question that arises, above all, is this: has Lionel Messi skied? We know that the subject is hot, that the practice of skiing is often prohibited for footballers, to avoid injuries. We saw it with Manuel Neuer, who broke his leg in a bad fall. On the side of Juventus supporters, we did not appreciate seeing Paul Pogba in the mountainsin full recovery, but the Frenchman had responded by assuring that he had left the skis in their locker.
We can imagine the same for Messi. The Argentinian does not appear in the photos or videos where Antonela and the children are on the slopes. We can therefore give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was careful.
