Winner of Nîmes (3-1), Le Havre widened the gap at the top of Ligue 2 while Bordeaux were joined in the score against Amiens (1-1).
It’s funny for Le Havre. A few days after their victory against Sochaux (1-0), the Normans consolidated their place as leaders of Ligue 2 by dominating Nîmes (3-1), this Friday, during the 19th day.
Luka Elsner’s men were behind after the goal of Lamine Fomba (50th), but they turned the tide with the hat-trick of a substitute, Quentin Cornette (61st, 84th, 90th + 2). Incidentally, the second Le Havre goal is contentious, because it is not certain that the ball crossed the line when the Nîmes goalkeeper, Maraval, released it.
In the standings, Le Havre takes a nine-point lead over Bordeaux, which again lost two points in the final minutes against Amiens (1-1). The Girondins led from the penalty from Josh Maja (42nd), but the visitors equalized on a goal from George Ilenikhena (90th + 2), only 16 years old.
Behind this duo, and while the meeting between Sochaux and Caen has been postponed due to the death of Stéphane Moulin’s wife, it is Metz which takes third place after its victory against Quevilly-Rouen (2- 0). Winner at Guingamp (2-4), Grenoble also took the opportunity to recover, as did Bastia, winner of Pau (1-0).
At the bottom of the table, Dijon comes out of the red zone thanks to its victory over Valenciennes (2-1). Nice operation also for Laval against Rodez (3-1) and for Annecy against Paris FC (2-0).
