The new five-time Ballon d’Or club has issued a press release to respond to certain information revealed in recent days.

The contract linking Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr would go beyond the field. The Portuguese will indeed play the role of ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The former Madrid native will thus receive 200 million euros under his two-and-a-half-year contract, and “another 200 million” to promote the joint application that the kingdom plans to submit with Greece and Egypt to organize the World Cup in 2030, assured a source close to the club.

This information made Al-Nassr react, which indeed published a press release in response. “Al Nassr FC would like to clarify that, contrary to press reports, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr does not imply any commitment to a World Cup bid. His main focus is on Al Nassr and working with his teammates to help the club succeed,” the Saudi club said on social media.
