For the Albiceleste players, it’s just the opposite: a moment that will remain etched for life, the fulfillment of a career.
To mark the occasion, several 2022 world champions have chosen to treat themselves to a new tattoo. This is the case of the earthy Emiliano Martinez, who had the World Cup trophy inked on his left leg with which he repelled Randal Kolo Muani’s shot, in the last seconds of regulation time.

Papu Gomez went even further. On Instagram, the attacking midfielder from Sevilla unveiled his three new tattoos. We see an Argentina jersey, with his name and number. We can also discover the World Cup trophy, with the date of the final, and the now three stars that the Albiceleste can display.
The third image is more original, since it is a tattoo representing Emiliano Martinez making his stop in front of Kolo Muani, with the minute of this action (122’43“). This attention pleased the Aston Villa goalkeeper, who responded with a small « I Love You » to his teammate.
