The Argentine world champion, resettled with a famous singer, has reached an agreement with his ex-wife for a divorce that will cost him dearly.
Rodrigo de Paul celebrated Argentina’s victory in the World Cup by joining his partner Tini Stoessel, a singer revealed in the series, on stage Violetta, created by Disney. The Albiceleste midfielder has found love again recently, which will help him better deal with his divorce from his former wife, Camila Homs.
The soap opera has made the headlines of the Argentine press, in particular because it could have deprived Rodrigo de Paul of the 2022 World Cup. Qatar indeed prohibits the entry into its territory of people with an unclean criminal record, which includes civil lawsuits, such as the midfielder’s ex-wife’s alimony claim.

The agreement has finally been reached, according to the El Trece channel, and it will cost the Atlético de Madrid player dearly. Rodrigo de Paul will have to pay 10% of his salary to his ex-wife each month, or around 30,000 euros. But that’s far from everything. Camila Homs recovered a check for 150,000 euros, and a few properties, such as an apartment in Puerto Madero (an affluent neighborhood in Buenos Aires), a suite in a hotel in the area, another apartment and even two Land Rovers: one in Spain and another in Argentina.
A little bonus? Every 45 days, the ex-wife of Rodrigo de Paul will be able to travel to Europe in business class, in the company of her two children and a companion. Each time she will be entitled to a paying five-star hotel, and 700 euros in pocket money to spend each day.
