At the end of next January, the clubs will validate the future delegate president of the French Rugby Federation. A president called to replace Bernard Laporte.
It continues to move at the French Rugby Federation. This Friday morning, the Federal Bureau of the governing body of French rugby, after having met, recorded the way in which the deputy president will be appointed. This famous deputy president will be called upon to replace Bernard Laporte, implicated in a case , in the same way as Altrad. It is not before the end of next January, and more precisely between the 23rd and 27th of the month, that it will then be validated by the clubs themselves. With regard to this famous designation, it will then be done by electronic referendum. This consultation of the clubs, was the will, quite simply, of Amélie Oudéa-Castera, the Minister of Sports. The latter had even made the request, as of this Thursday, following her meeting with Bernard Laporte. Since his conviction, Laporte had decided to withdraw from his position as president of the Federation, while retaining, despite everything, his title of president. As for the candidate, he will be known as of January 6th. For its part, the FFR’s ethics committee will then control all operations.
