Emmanuel Macron has decided to take French referee Stéphanie Frappart with him to Qatar to attend the final between France and Argentina.
As for the semi-final between France and Morocco, Emmanuel Macron will be present in the stands of the Lusail stadium to support the Blues during the final against Argentina, this Sunday (4 p.m.).
For this occasion, the President notably decided to invite Stéphanie Frappart, who became the first referee to officiate a World Cup match, between Germany and Costa Rica, on December 1, reports RMC Sport.
Platini and Zidane said no
Failing to have succeeded in convincing the two legends of French football, Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini, to go to Qatar to support the troupe of Didier Deschamps in the final, Emmanuel Macron also invited the singer of opera Farrah El Dibany. The latter had notably interpreted the Marseillaise on the Champ de Mars during the re-election of the President.
