The United States and Wales meet this Monday (8 p.m.) for their first match of the 2022 World Cup. Here are two tips from the editorial staff for your bets.
Strengths that are equal
The United States and Wales are on dynamics that are not very similar lately. Of the last five games played by the Americans, only one victory against Granada (5-0) in the CONCACAF Nations League and for the rest, three draws and one loss. On the Welsh side, it’s even worse, with four defeats and a small draw. The advantage is so slim for Team USA that the reason pushes to opt for a draw between the two selections which face each other this Monday for their first match of the 2022 World Cup.

Bale still has it under his feet
This is most likely the first and last World Cup that Gareth Bale will play with Wales. His selection had not reached the final table since 1958 and the Dragons star could well take advantage of it to put himself in the spotlight one last time. Exiled to Los Angeles FC, a Major League Soccer club, the former Real Madrid player is now far from his best level, but the champions often know how to transcend themselves during major events. His last goal with Wales dates back to last June and was scored from the penalty spot against the Netherlands, in the League of Nations (3-2 defeat). However, he remains the most anticipated player in this match against the United States, his adopted country since this summer. A not easy bet, but one that can be tried.
