Monaco took advantage of the reception of Roanne to sign a third victory in three days for Betclic Elite. Strasbourg, for its part, unlocked its counter at the expense of Nancy while Pau-Lacq-Orthez won the classic championship against Limoges.
Monaco keeps the tempo. Like Blois this Saturday in Paris, Monaco signed a third consecutive victory in Betclic Elite on the occasion of the reception of Roanne. A meeting that the “Roca Team” led from start to finish. The teammates of the inevitable Mike James (20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists) however experienced an alert at the start of the second quarter when the Chorale signed an 8-0 to return to the scoreboard a few seconds.
Sasa Obradovic’s players then tightened the game but they had to wait until the last moments before the break to reach a ten-point lead. Despite Maxime Roos (12 points), the Roannais took on water on the return to the floor of the Salle Gaston-Médecin. A one-sided end to the match allowed Monaco to win by 24 lengths (109-85) and to settle at the top of the standings with the three other undefeated teams, Blois, but also Le Mans and Cholet, who respectively played two and only one match.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez took revenge on Limoges
Beaten in the two classics disputed last season, Pau-Lacq-Orthez made it a point of honor to dominate Limoges this Sunday in the poster for the 3rd day. A 7-0 from the first moments of the match set the tone. Led by a Markeith Cummings of the big nights (24 points, 6 rebounds) and intractable at long distance (4/5 at three points), the Elan Béarnais raced in the lead against a catchy CSP and led by only five points at the break.
However, Desi Rodriguez’s teammates (19 points, 11 rebounds) gradually saw the meeting escape them with a delay pushed to sixteen lengths with ten minutes still to play. A difference between Palois and Limougeauds which then no longer fell below ten points. A final three-point shot from Markeith Cummings allows Elan Béarnais to sign a second victory in three days, the second at home (81-62) and to stay in contact with the leading car. The CSP, for its part, confirms a nightmare start to the season because, with Paris and Le Portel, Limoges is the third team with zero victories.

Strasbourg finally starts
A list to which Strasbourg has done everything not to add its name. Dominated by Elan Béarnais then Dijon, the SIG got the better of the promoted Nancy. If the Alsatians started strong, the SLUC was able to show patience to pass at the end of the first quarter. However, the teammates of Luke Fischer (15 points) and Kyle Vinales (15 points) could not resist the Strasbourg strike force, led by Matt Mitchell (26 points) and Marcus Keene (24 points, 5 assists), without forgetting the Bodian Massa control tower (4 points, 18 rebounds).
The SIG was able to widen a gap of eleven points at the break. Back on the floor of Rhénus, the Nancy did everything not to be unhooked, returning to four small lengths at the start of the last ten minutes. A final quarter which first saw the SLUC equalize but could not go further. Strasbourg signs its first victory with a margin of ten points (79-69) and gives itself air in the classification, passing at the same time in front of its victim of the day, who conceded a second consecutive loss.
