Gareth Bale netted his second MLS goal on Saturday night in LAFC’s easy win at Salt Lake City.
Gareth Bale continues to have a great time in Major League Soccer. For the fifth time in as many games since arriving in the United States, the Welsh striker entered during the match, shortly after the hour mark.
The former Real Madrid player took part in the success of Los Angeles FC in Salt Lake City (1-4) by scoring his team’s fourth goal. Starting from the right wing, Bale surprised his defender to transplant in the axis, before using his body well to protect the ball by refocusing. He then quietly adjusted the opposing goalkeeper, to afford his second goal in MLS.
Note that the other big name of the LAFC has distinguished itself in a completely different register. Holder, Giorgio Chiellini received a yellow card for a totally voluntary hand. And the incorrigible Italian veteran found a way to challenge the referee’s decision.
