While Metz signed a 26th victory at the expense of Paris 92, Brest lost during the last day on the floor of Besançon, which fails two points from the podium of the Butagaz Energie League.
The regular season of Ligue Butagaz Energie has given its verdict. On the occasion of the 26th and last day, Metz concluded their clear round with a success on the Paris 92 floor. Orlane Kanor’s teammates (3 goals on 4 shots) made the difference in the last ten minutes of the first period, concluded with a margin of four lengths for the Dragonnes. Les Ile-de-France, despite Déborah Lassource (5 goals on 6 shots), were never able to come back to this meeting. Metz won (20-25) and finished the season with 78 points out of a possible 78. The margin with Brest, his runner-up and future opponent in the final, is ten points. Indeed, at the same time, the BBH conceded a fifth defeat during their trip to Besançon. If the Bretonnes started well, the teammates of Helene Fauske (7 goals on 20 shots) dropped off before turning in the lead by a goal at the break. The second act saw Florence Bonnet (10 saves at 53% efficiency) make life difficult for the Brest attack. Aleksandra Rosiak (7 goals on 11 shots) and her teammates took advantage of the windfall to take control and go for a clear victory (30-24) but the ESBF fails two points behind Paris 92 and third place.

Nantes, Dijon and Fleury finish well
Behind this quartet, Nantes ended its season with a victory against Toulon (35-29) thanks in particular to the inevitable Nathalie Hagman (9 goals on 11 shots) and took fifth place in the standings ahead of Chambray. The players of Touraine, for their part, relied on Jovana Stoiljkovic (8 goals on 10 shots) to win at Bourg-de-Péage (28-34) and end the season in sixth place with two lengths of ahead of Nice. Les Azuréennes, for their part, conceded a draw at the last second against Plan-de-Cuques (26-26), who equalized in extremis thanks to Justine Martel (4 goals on 5 shots). Dijon, after two defeats against Metz then Chambray, finished on a high note with success over Mérignac (28-23) in which Rosario Urban (5 goals on 9 shots) played an important role. Last in the championship and condemned for a long time to relegation, Fleury won the duel at the bottom of the table against Celles-sur-Belle (31-30) and signed a second consecutive victory for the first time this season to fall two points off the hold. A season that will end for the last time with a long-awaited final between Metz and Brest.
