Provoked during the invasion of the field which concluded the Everton-Crystal Palace meeting, Patrick Vieira responded with a brush.
Patrick Vieira had a bad night at Goodison Park. The fault in particular with the defeat conceded by his troops. Crystal Palace may have led 2-0 at half-time thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta (21st) and Jordan Ayew (36th), the London club finally lost 3-2 against Everton following goals signed Michael Keane (54th), Richarlison (75th) and finally Dominic Calvert-Lewin (85th). But if the evening turned into a nightmare for the 1998 world champion, it was also due to a blow given to a Toffees supporter.
Insults and middle fingers
As after Everton’s third goal, synonymous with maintenance for Frank Lampard’s men, many fans expressed their joy when they entered the lawn at Goodison Park after the match. One of them took the opportunity to attack Patrick Vieira with middle fingers and insults, while filming with his phone.
Et Vieira ace
Long impassive, the former Cannes, who was heading for the tunnel leading to the locker room, finally cracked and grabbed the supporter. And as the latter walked away, the Dakar native kicked the fan in the legs, knocking him down. Just raised, the supporter then seemed to want to retaliate with his arms, but finally changed his mind, taking several steps back. Escorted by several individuals, including one with the Everton jersey, Patrick Vieira was able to join the locker room.

Vieira takes a big risk
Asked at a press conference, the Eagles coach refused to discuss the subject. “I have nothing to say about it,” he launched to evacuate the subject. Patrick Vieira risks having to be more verbose before the authorities. This violent reaction could cost him dearly despite the invasion of the field and the provocations of which he was the target.
