Regarding the acquisition of the Formula E team from Mercedes, McLaren specifies, in the same press release, that it should be finalized later in the year.

Maserati will also be present next year
The British car manufacturer is therefore trying out a whole new discipline, after Formula 1, IndyCar, Extreme E and esports. Before McLaren, earlier this year, the Italian brand Maserati had also announced its arrival, from next season, in this same Formula E world championship. It was in 2014 that the latter was officially launched. This season, a record will be broken, with no less than sixteen rounds scheduled for the world championship, with ten different countries visited. Also note the organization of six double ePrix, in Diriyah, Rome, Berlin, New York, London and Seoul. The Korean capital will be in charge of hosting the final meeting scheduled for August 13 and 14. This year, big manufacturers are in attendance, such as Porsche, Nissan or even Jaguar, without forgetting Mercedes, for its very last season.
