After being loaned to Sevilla for the second half of the season, Anthony Martial should leave Manchester United almost sold out.
At 26, Anthony Martial could (finally) revive his career away from Manchester United. The French international was loaned to Sevilla FC for the second half of the season and does not shine (11 matches for a goal, but none in La Liga). This does not prevent the Mancunian leaders from being determined to get rid of “Toto” during the next off-season.
According to The SunUnited, which had initially set the price of the player trained at OL at 25 million euros, would now be ready to sell the striker to the Andalusian club against 15 (small) million.
Martial’s XXL salary
The Sevillians haven’t ruled out signing Martial permanently, especially at this price, but they’re going to struggle to match the player’s salary. The native of Massy, linked until 2024 to MU, would receive more than 14 million euros per year and Sevilla would only pay 40% of the player’s emoluments.
Anthony Martial had been recruited for 50 M€ at AS Monaco, on September 1, 2015 (a single bonus of 10 M€ was then paid to the Red and Whites). The left winger has long been erratic under Jose Mourinho and had his best season as a centre-forward under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with 23 goals in 2019-20.
