Beaten 2-0 at Anfield, Villarreal did not emerge against Liverpool on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Villarreal is doomed to feat after the first leg of his Champions League semi-final against Liverpool. Consequence of his 2-0 defeat at Anfield. And if the Spaniards can harbor some regrets in view of the first goal of the Reds, scored against his camp by Pervis Estupinan, the face of the match is even more worrying.

The Yellow Submarine was indeed completely overpowered and powerless. Villarreal thus had only one shot during the 90 minutes – off target -, managed only 182 passes and had only 32% possession. Unai Emery’s men will have to show a completely different face in the second leg to overthrow the Reds.
