In a bad position, Newcastle wants to strengthen itself during the next winter transfer window. Competition in the Premier League does not hear it that way, however.

Newcastle passing under the Saudi flag, that does not arouse a mad enthusiasm across the kingdom. Since the formalization of the takeover last month, the Premier League in unison stood up to this emerging power, in particular by vetoing all sources of sponsorship coming directly from the Middle East. The English elite refusing to see a new Manchester City, or one PSG with Arab-British sauce.

This is all the more true today as the Telegraph reveals the existence of an agreement between the various members of the English Premier League, all obviously ready to put a spade in the wheels of a club in great sporting difficulty. – a club currently 19e of the Premier League, without the slightest victory on the clock after 11 days of the league.

Tracks out of reach

The English newspaper thus reports a treaty of refusal of sale to the Magpies, with for rallying cry a ” Everything except Newcastle To say the least explicit. ” Newcastle will find it difficult to buy players from some Premier League clubs in January as they would rather see them relegated than take their money. Some clubs just won’t sell », Breathes the Telegraph, on condition of anonymity, a major player in the British transfer window.

However, the club from the north of England was counting on relaunching this season by drawing from the experienced executives of its championship. Burnley defender James Tarkowski, Tottenham and Chelsea midfielders Harry Winks and Ross Barkley, and Manchester United striker Jesse Lingard were thus in the sights of the new Saudi staff. So many targets clearly out of reach today.
