While Bourges, Villeneuve d’Ascq, ASVEL and Tarbes have absolutely not trembled, the Franco-French duel saw La Roche-sur-Yon win on the floor of Charleville-Mézières to remain undefeated in the Eurocoup.
Group G: Bourges continues its solo rider
Fourth match and fourth victory for Bourges in the Eurocoup. The Tangos have made short work of Ciudad de La Laguna, the club from Tenerife which suffered a third defeat on the European scene on this occasion. A meeting that Iliana Rupert’s teammates (21 points, 7 rebounds) started off perfectly, leading by 17 points at the end of the first quarter. An advantage that the Berruyères continued to grow in the ten minutes leading up to half-time, reached with a margin of 24 units. The second half of the meeting saw the Tango manage their advantage without forcing their talent against an outdated team who relied on Kaela Davis (20 points, 8 rebounds) to exist. In the end, it is a victory of 35 points for Bourges (91-56), which prances at the head of its group.

Group H: La Roche-sur-Yon remains undefeated at the expense of Charleville-Mézières
La Roche-sur-Yon also received four out of four in the Eurocup! The Vendéennes have maintained their perfect record on the European scene during a perilous trip to the floor of Charleville-Mézières. The Flames got off to the best start but never got more than eight lengths ahead in the first quarter. Despite their best efforts, Magali Mendy’s teammates (14 points) were never able to outrun their opponents before the break, the gap fluctuating between one and six points during most of the second quarter. The switch took place in the middle of the third period with a 13-3 that allowed Tiffany Clarke (22 points, 7 rebounds) and her teammates to take the lead. Despite a 10-0 conceded in the last ten minutes which allowed Charleville-Mézières to return to only one point with ten seconds to play, Ana Suarez ensured the success of La Roche-sur-Yon (69-72), who keeps control of this Group H.

Group J: ASVEL did not tremble against Estudiantes Madrid
ASVEL had a revenge to take and did not miss the boat! Beaten by Estudiantes Madrid for their entry into the Eurocup, the protected Pierre Vincent inflicted a slap on the players of the Spanish capital which took time to clarify. Indeed, Leslie Knight’s teammates (11 points) resisted during the first two quarters, after which the Rhone women were only three lengths ahead. It was after returning from the locker room that Alexia Chartereau (18 points) and her teammates raised the tone. Uncompromising in defense with only six points conceded in the third quarter, the ASVEL players left their opponents behind, with no less than 21 points ahead at the edge of the last quarter. Last ten minutes in full control for ASVEL who won by 21 lengths (72-51) and took control in this Group J.

Group L: Tarbes and Villeneuve d’Ascq do not let go
In the Group L of the Eurocup, it is a distant duel in which Tarbes and Villeneuve d’Ascq engage after the success of the players of Bigorre on the Northerners. But the Tarbaises did not crack during the reception of Brno. If the start of the match was complicated with the Czechs who did not give up under the impetus of Rebecca Akl (10 points), the situation has gradually changed. After concluding the first quarter with a seven-point lead, Tarbes gradually distanced Brno, thanks in particular to Ana Tadic (23 points, 13 rebounds). With a mattress of 17 points with ten minutes still to play, the players of Bigorre perfectly managed the end of the match to win on the same gap (73-56). At the same time, Villeneuve d’Ascq literally walked around facing Haukar. If the Icelanders had an illusion during the first half, the teammates of Lovisa Henningsdottir (9 points) sank in the second. Scoring just eight points in 20 minutes, Haukar saw Villeneuve d’Ascq soar to score almost three times as many points. The teammates of Carolie Heriaud (19 points, 6 rebounds) were serious to go for a victory with a gap of 49 points (82-33) and stay in contact with Tarbes.
