Winner in five rounds at Terville-Florange, RC Cannes yielded first place in the Women’s League A for one point to Cannet, clear winner of the reigning French champion, Mulhouse.
There is a change at the top of the Women’s A League! After three wins before the tiebreak, RC Cannes has left feathers on the floor of Terville-Florange. After having made a level playing field in the first two sets, Filippo Schiavo’s proteges understood that they would leave at least one point after conceding the third set. But the hatred of the defeat allowed the teammates of Micaya White (23 points) to snatch the victory at the tiebreak (25-20, 17-25, 25-21, 22-25, 18-20). But, at the same time, Le Cannet experienced much less difficulty in the shock on the floor of the reigning French champion, Mulhouse.. The Volero players only needed three sets to win in Alsace (18-25, 25-27, 20-25). With these three points, Le Cannet now occupies the head of the championship with one point ahead.
Evreux is unlocked
Beaten in Terville-Florange, Saint-Raphaël was able to recover during his trip to a team from Béziers who is not doing it. The Angels conceded their fourth defeat in as many days (18-25, 24-26, 15-25) and remain at the bottom of the standings when the Varoises are now third. The red lantern, Chamalières, also signed a fourth setback on the floor of Vandeuvre-Nancy (25-21, 25-21, 25-17), fourth in the standings one point from Saint-Raphaël. A low ranking that sees Marcq-en-Barœul also bow but hang a point in the tiebreak on the floor of Nantes (22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-12). The promoted Evreux, meanwhile, signed his first success in Venelles (26-24, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 11-15), beaten for the third time in a row.
