We cannot say that the 8th day of Pro D2 started with a bang… There was indeed not the slightest attempt during the top-of-the-table match between Montauban, sixth at kick-off, against the leader Mont -de-Marsan. The Montalbanais won 21-18 (9-9, mt) at the end of a meeting which was played on the foot. Jérôme Bosviel, the Montalbanese opener, has indeed scored all the points of his team: six penalties in the 16th, 30th, 33rd, 57th, 72nd and 78th minutes, and a drop in the 47th while his team moved to 14 following the yellow card received by Kelly Meafua. Opposite, all the points were scored on penalty or drop also: penalties of scrum half Christophe Loustalot at the 21st, 28th, 37th and 52nd minutes, and drop of Yoann Laousse Azpiazu at the 66th and penalty at the 74th. The latter could even have offered victory to his team after the siren, but he missed his penalty on the left side, to the delight of Sapiac supporters. Montauban therefore won his sixth victory in eight games and climbed to third place, behind Mont-de-Marsan, who took the defensive bonus and remains leader with two points ahead of Colomiers, who will go to Béziers on Friday. On the next day, Mont-de-Marsan will host Nevers and Montauban will host Rouen.
