RC Cannes signed their third victory in three matches in the Women’s A League, beating Evreux 3-0 at the start of Matchday 3.
What a great start to the season for RC Cannes! The flagship club of French women’s volleyball in the 21st century, which has however won only one title of champion of France since 2015 (in 2019), signed a third victory in three games this Friday at the opening of the 3rd day of League A. The Cannoises won 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19) in 76 minutes against Evreux who, for their part, suffered a third defeat in as many games. In the first set, they were led to 10-11, before finally taking the lead and inevitably widening the gap. In the second, the Azuréennes left even less luck to the players of Evreux, taking the set in hand from 8-8, to count up to ten points in advance.
White wears Cannes
The Normans held up the best in the third, holding up to 16-16, but Cannes accelerated late in the game to win with a comfortable lead. Micaya White did not have to force his talent and finished with 11 points. Opposite, Sabine Haewegene has long delayed the deadline for Evreux, with 13 points, but there was clearly a class gap between these two teams this Friday. On the next day, Cannes will go to Terville Florange, who has won his first two games and plays on Saturday, while Evreux will travel to Venelles.
