The setback conceded by the Nazionale on Wednesday against Spain has a historical character.

Italy fell from above on Wednesday. Two months after winning the Euro, the Nazionale lost at home to Spain in the semi-finals of the League of Nations. A setback (1-2) that puts an end to the invincibility of the Italians for three years. Roberto Mancini’s men remained in a 37-game unbeaten streak.

It is also Italy’s first home loss since September 2016 and a setback to France as well as La Nazionale’s first home loss in official competition since September 1999 and a setback to Denmark.

Italy saw another series stop. Squadra Azzura had not lost a match in Milan since January 18, 1925 and a setback against Hungary! The Italians had gone on for 46 games unbeaten in Milan with 34 wins and 12 draws.
