Faced with Kylian Mbappé’s initial desires, Paris Saint-Germain could set their sights on a certain Erling Haaland. In this case, the good news tends to follow one another.
The atmosphere should not be frivolous at the moment on the P sidearis Saint-Germain. In the media, Kylian Mbappé has made things clear regarding his situation with the capital club. The Bondynois has confirmed that he wants to join Real Madrid, which he still does not want to extend with PSG, and everything therefore suggests that he will join Spain next summer at the end of his contract.
PSG will therefore have to find a successor for him, but the news is pretty good on this issue. Especially with regard to the one who undoubtedly represents the most attractive track: Erling Haaland, the other young crack of world football. A few days ago, the Gazzetta dello Sport indicated that PSG were arguably the best placed to welcome the Norwegian international. The capital club can offer him a starting place (instead of Mbappé), a very ambitious sports project. And the financial aspect shouldn’t be a problem.
Man City, the only opponent for Paris?
But what about the competition? On this point, the very good news came from Germany. Robert Lewandowski would like to extend his contract with Bayern Munich, and PSG can be happy about it. Haaland indeed had the ideal profile to take over from the Pole in Bavaria. But as long as he is around, it is difficult to see the German champions being able to align the two center forward.
Who is left? Real Madrid will have found their happiness with Mbappé, and Mbappé has reportedly indicated to Madrid leaders that he does not want Halaland to come to the Bernabeu. Barça, despite the rumors that you will probably read in the Catalan press, cannot afford such a player. For Italian clubs, it therefore seems complicated.
For PSG, the danger should come from England. Chelsea already have their number 9 with Romelu Lukaku, but we must not neglect the tracks leading to Manchester United and especially Manchester City. The Skyblues went out of their way to recruit Harry Kane last summer, to no avail. Next year, they could look for another striker. But in the meantime, the planets tend to line up for PSG.
