The leaders of Paris Saint-Germain would not have appreciated at all the position of Layvin Kurzawa during the summer transfer window.
Placed on the start list during the last transfer market, the French left-back finally remained within the Ile-de-France club. In the viewfinder of Galatasaray and of Olympique Lyonnais, the former defender of l’AS Monaco pushed back all approaches until the last day of the summer window. Wishing to start a first foreign experience on the side of the Premier League, Layvin Kurzawa waited for an offer that ultimately never came.
Having made it clear internally that he was only going to leave Paris Saint-Germain for an English club, the 28-year-old annoyed his leaders according to information from the team. The Parisian board failed to convince the left side to join one of its two contenders. The next few months are likely to be very long for Layvin Kurzawa. He will have to deal with the big competition of Nuno Mendes, the new Parisian recruit, as well as that of Juan Bernat and Abdou Diallo.
