Juventus formalized the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday, disclosing the figures of his transfer to Manchester United.
Despite his 101 goals scored in 134 matches played with the Juventus Turin, the balance sheet of Cristiano Ronaldo with the Old Lady was not the success expected by the leaders of Turin. The move from CR7 to Juventus Turin will not have been a good financial transaction for the Piedmont club either. Three years after having spent no less than 94 million euros to snatch it from Real Madrid, the Old Lady has indeed agreed to sell off the Portuguese to allow his return to Manchester United. Evidenced by the figures announced by Juve on Tuesday.
The departure of the former Madrilenian will indeed bring only 15 million euros to the Old Lady, payable in five years. Compensation with bonuses of up to some 8 million euros. Enough to generate “a negative economic impact of 14 million euros on the 2020-21 season”, according to the press release published by the Bianconeri. The operation is much more lucrative for Cristiano Ronaldo, who has signed a contract for two with an annual salary of more than 30 million euros.
