Didier Deschamps has unveiled his list for the next matches of the Blues in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. For the first list since the Euro, Olivier Giroud and many elements are excluded, while Tchouameni, Veretout, Diaby and Théo Hernandez land .
Didier Deschamps has decided. Almost two months after the failure against Switzerland at Euro 2020, the coach of the France team unveiled his list for the next three meetings of the Blues, against Bosnia, Ukraine and Finland, in the qualifiers of the 2022 World Cup.
Deschamps operated a major household, and which is not linked only to the passage from 26 to 23 players. As expected, Olivier Giroud is removed from the group. But he is not the only one: Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard, Clément Lenglet, Adrien Rabiot, Moussa Sissoko, Wissam Ben Yedder, Ousmane Dembélé and Marcus Thuram also disappear from the group, some of them being injured (Pavard, Hernandez, Dembélé, Rabiot).
This opens the door to returns, like two from Dayot Upamecano, transferred to Bayern Munich this summer, or Anthony Martial, who had missed the Euro on injury. But there are also four new ones, left side Théo Hernandez (AC Milan), midfielders Aurélien Tchouameni (Monaco) and Jordan Veretout (AS Rome), as well as winger Moussa Diaby (Leverkusen).
