In three sets, France got the better of Bosnia (3-0). This success allows the Blue to relaunch in the race for the knockout stages of the Euro. They are only one success away from integrating the top 16 continental.
After two encouraging defeats against Russia and Serbia, the Blues offered themselves a convincing victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina (3-0). In Belgrade, the French team won its first match of Euro 2021 and is back in the race for the round of 16. In the group of death, the Habs need to put two teams behind them to continue the adventure. By triumphing over the Bosnian women, they have come halfway. Another success in front of Azerbaijan on Wednesday and Amandha Sylves’ teammates will officially join the continental top 16.
Not regular enough against the ogres of European volleyball during the first two days, the daughters of Emile Rousseaux were dominant against a selection which presented a record of a victory for a defeat before the third day. In the wake of the duo Héléna Cazaute (20 points) – Lucille Gicquel (16 points), France has never been worried. The Habs largely dominated the first two rounds. If the third was more hooked, they did not give up to succeed in winning.
While the Bosnians saved two match points, the third was good for the French. They won in three sets (25-19, 25-14, 26-24). This had not happened to the France team in a European championship since the 2011 edition. Proof that the Blue have made progress to hook the big nations and win with authority against the others. It only remains to confirm them by reaching the round of 16.
