While Harry Kane appears to be on the move, Tottenham have secured Son Heung-Min’s contract extension until 2025.
The timing is perfect to reassure Spurs fans. While the English press insistently announces the transfer of Harry Kane to Manchester City, Tottenham reveals this Friday the contract extension of Son Heung-Min. The 29-year-old Korean striker, who is coming off a season with 17 goals and 9 assists in the Premier League, has resigned until 2025.
“We are delighted to have entered into a new long-term contract with Heung-Min Son as we head into the start of a new season and a new chapter for the club with Nuno Espirito Santo,” rejoices the new sports director Fabio Paratici.Anyone can see the real positive impact he has on the club, both on and off the pitch, and we are delighted that he can play a role in what we are trying to achieve in the years to come. “
Arrived in 2015 from Leverkusen, Son is happy to continue the adventure in London. “It was already a great honor to play here for six years, the club showed me enormous respect and obviously I’m very happy to be here, he confides on the Spurs website. It’s like being at home, especially with the fans, the players, the staff. There was no decision. It was easy. I’m so happy to be here and will be so happy to see the fans again soon. “
