Stade Rennais does not intend to release Eduardo Camavinga for the Tokyo Olympics.
The puzzle is not over for Sylvain Ripoll. The coach of the Espoirs, who unveiled this Friday his list of 18 players (plus a reservist) selected to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, must face the refusal of some clubs to give up their players for this competition which is not under the fold of Fifa.
“For us, it’s impossible”
Among the lucky ones, Eduardo Camavinga saw its president at Stade Rennais, Nicolas Holveck, oppose his departure for Japan. “We have to play the play-offs of the Europa Conference Conference on August 19 and 26, it is essential for us to go to the group stage. We are not in favor of it (the liberation of Camavinga), we need all our assets. For us, it is impossible ”, warned the Breton boss to The team.
Same story for Lyon, Monaco and Nice, who have vetoed the selections of Maxence Caqueret, Benoît Badiashile and Amine Gouiri. Just like Chelsea with Malang Sarr. Suffice to say that nothing is set in stone yet …
