Tottenham loses ground. Still in the fight to grab a place in the Europa League, Spurs had to win at home to secure their place in European competition, two days from the end of the England Championship. After a good start to the match rewarded by the opening scoring of Bergwijn (1-0, 8th), Tottenham collapsed. Destabilized by the attack on Aston Villa, Reguilon completely missed a center by returning the ball directly into the goals of Lloris (1-1, 20th).

Everton can overtake Tottenham

Unable to recover after conceding a draw, the Londoners conceded defeat. Watkins offered his 14th Premier League goal, allowing the Villans to surprise. Mason’s men will therefore have to win at Leicester to hope to hang on to Europe because Everton did the job against Wolverhampton. Richarlison (1-0, 40th) allowed the Toffees to tie Spurs before a big trip to Champion Manchester City.

In the other meeting of the evening, Newcastle won against the red lantern Sheffield United (1-0), already relegated to the Championship.
